1). Apologies:-
Apologies were received from Cllrs. Ryan-Bloor and Wilkins.
2). Minutes of the meeting held on Wednesday 5th February 2025:-
The minutes, which had previously been noted by the Council, were agreed and signed.
3). Asset inspections:-
- Members were circulated the new 2025 asset inspection sheets, to commence the inspections and report to the Clerk who can arrange for required remedial works at the earliest opportunity.
4). Refurbished BT boxes:-
- BT box on the Washpits
The box is currently locked and there is some minor works to be completed prior to the refurbishment.
The painter is looking to start the refurbishment soon and the Clerk is awaiting confirmation on what needs to be ordered. Cllr. Dale will advise Richard Egan of this plan so that the repair works can be tied into the painting schedule.
5). Croxton Play area and Outdoor Gyms:
- Inspection Reports:
Members received and considered the latest inspection report. The only areas marked as moderate risk were on the trim trail. The work to complete the trail has started today, so this will soon be resolved. All other items are low or very low risk and will be monitored.
6). Beech Road Community Park:
- A scanned copy of the lease, signed and sealed by the Borough Council has been received. The remaining action is for the lease to be registered, and the Clerk has requested support from our solicitor to undertake this on behalf of the council.
- Kompan has provided a provisional date of the 1st June to commence the onsite works, and a working group meeting is proposed for the 13th May to discuss communications with residents and progress a plan of work for the community garden.
- Members considered the quotes received for the grounds maintenance contract of Beech Road. It was resolved to recommend approval of the quote by G-Tec for fortnightly grass cutting (between April-November) and an annual hedge cut at an annual cost of £1550.00 plus VAT. Once the refurbishment is completed, the cost will be reassessed as the area to be mowed will be reduced.
- It was resolved to recommend approval of the quotation by Stafford Borough Council of £520 for weekly bin emptying of two bins at Beech Road, to include the supply of a new bin.
