1). Apologies:-
Apologies were received from Cllr. Wilkins
2). To approve the minutes of the meeting held on August 13th, 2025.
The minutes, which had been previously circulated, were agreed and signed.
3). Review of current maintenance schedule, work completed to date and any new issues to consider.
The updated maintenance schedule was circulated for information prior to the meeting.
- New items:
- FP17 has a number of trees in the vicinity that have been blown over in recent weeks and are partially blocking the path to the rear of the open space by Sancerre Grange. Walkers are probably avoiding this by taking the path along Sancerre Grange and rejoining FP17 further up. The issue has been reported to the County Rights of Way team but no response received, and Mr. Cole has undertaken some work to enable limited access. This initial stretch of path is regularly overgrown and requires a number of visits over the growing season to keep it accessible. It was queried whether the maintenance expenditure is required for this stretch, if an alternative route is available and used by residents. For reference, the Clerk will obtain a quote for tree clearance works, and also contact the Rights of Way team to highlight the issue and obtain their opinion.
4). Walk Updates:
- Due to their ongoing popularity, it was agreed at the previous meeting to review the single walk leaflets, which were last checked in 2018. The routes will need to be walked to check if there are any changes required to the leaflet instructions. This will be undertaken over several months, weather conditions permitting. The clerk circulated a table of leaflet numbers and members volunteered to check the routes as below:
