73/20). Any further applications for consideration:-
There were no further applications to consider.
74/20). Any Other Planning Matters:-
The Clerk noted that she was in ongoing correspondence with Bovis over a number of issues but has still to receive a response from any of the people contacted.
75/20). Correspondence:-
- Response from SBC regarding the joint submission made by Parish and Town Councils via the Stone Parish Liaison Group regarding concerns about lack of consideration of parish responses to planning applications.
The Committee discussed the response at length and expressed their disappointment and frustration at the less than satisfactory response. The Chair noted that whilst we respond in line with material considerations and Local Plan guidance, Planning Officers often consider mitigating circumstances which can result in a decision that is in conflict with that of the Parish Council.
It was resolved to wait for the outcome of a meeting between Cllr. P. Jones and SBC senior leaders to further discuss the issue before any further response is considered.
- The Clerk advised that correspondence has been received today regarding an interim report published by SBC regarding the sustainability of the options explored in the recent Local Plan issues and options consultation, and the continued omission of Slindon as a proposed settlement area. As it was too late to add to this agenda, it will be added to the August agenda for discussion
76/20). To approve delegation to the Clerk, in consultation with the Chairman, to respond to any urgent planning applications that require a response before the next meeting.
It was resolved to approve this course of action.
