- To approve the costs for printing of the Summer newsletter

Minutes of the Meeting of Eccleshall Parish Council held on 17th JUNE 2026
A meeting of Eccleshall Parish Council was held at Offley Hay Village Hall on 17th June 2026 at 7.30pm. This meeting was followed by a meeting of the Planning Committee at 8.00pm.

Apologies were received from Cllrs. Wilkins, Reid, Hall, Dale, Delanchy and Ryan-Bloor.

There were no requests to receive, and no declarations of interest were made.
86/26). Public Participation:
There was no public participation.
87/26). To approve the minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on 20th May 2026
The minutes, which had been previously circulated, were agreed and signed.
88/26). Reports from the Borough Councillor, County Councillor, and police representatives:
Borough Councillor Jones reported that the mayor will be attending Eccleshall Open Gardens on Saturday 20th June.

- It was resolved to approve the quote of £430 for reprinting 250 of the Circular Walks brochure.

90/26). Biodiversity Update:
- There were no further updates since the report provided to the Enhancements Committee on the 1st
91/26). Appointment of the council internal auditor:
It was resolved to re-appoint Kim Squires as the internal auditor for the period April 1st 2026 – 31st March 2027.
92/26). Community Resilience Planning update:
The working group will be meeting to discuss initial planning stages on 30th June at 6.45pm.Cllrs. Taylor, Langford, Reid, Perren, Gosling and the Clerk will be in attendance.
The representative from Support Staffordshire attended the Showcase to talk to exhibitors about resilience planning, gauge interest and how local organisations may be able to support an emergency plan. Feedback was positive, with offers of help, which will be discussed further at the meeting.

- There was no correspondence to receive.
95/26). Chairman’s Report:-
- Taylor reported that the Showcase was a successful event, and visitor numbers had increased from last year. The Clerk has circulated a survey to all exhibitors, and feedback will be considered at the next meeting in July to form the basis of planning for the 2027 event. The event was fully booked and potential exhibitors turned away, so it was disappointing that three groups did not show up on the night.
Next year’s advertising was suggested to include posters/flyers in all businesses, on counters and in shop windows. Cllr. Hill volunteered to facilitate this. The Scouts were excellent at supporting the event by managing the refreshments, and Cllr. Taylor will be dropping off a thank you gift.
- An NHS wellbeing event ran at the library on the 4th June, with fourteen organisations in attendance to promote the support services available. It is planned to re-run the event in the future.
