Cllrs. Jones and Reid abstained from voting on planning applications to avoid any conflict of interests due to duties within Stafford Borough Council.
25/41408/FUL– Retention of existing field access and formation of new drive to serve ‘The Brackens’. The Brackens Back Lane Croxton. It was resolved to continue to object until the issues raised by County Council Highways have been resolved.
26/41793/PIP – Permission in Principle – Demolition of existing dwelling and erection of two dwellings within the existing curtilage. The Bungalow Doley Road Eccleshall.
A PIP application – ‘Planning in Principle’, is a planning application that provides an initial, high-level approval for a development proposal. It is not required to include the finer details of design and layout, and if approved, only establishes the fundamental feasibility and acceptability of the development on a specific site. A subsequent detailed application would address the full design for consideration and approval. There were no objections to this application on this basis, but the council would expect full consultation with planners about the design, height and size and all technical details in the subsequent application.
43/26). To consider any further applications:-
There were no further applications for consideration.
44/26). Any Other Planning Matters: –

UVE are working on a representation for application 25/41443/OUT (Bellway homes off the Stone Road), to be considered at the planning meeting on the 4th March. Application 25/41542/OUT (Taylor Wimpey, Shaws Lane) is expected to be considered at the 18th March planning meeting, as an extension has been granted from the Borough Council to ensure sufficient time for detailed consideration.
