ECCLESHALL PARISH COUNCIL – PLANNING COMMITTEE MINUTES – March 16th 2022

A meeting of Eccleshall Parish Council Planning Committee was held on March 16th 2022, at Eccleshall Community Centre, at 8.40pm.

Apologies were received from Councillors Langford, Mifflin, Leather and Amos.

45/22).     Public Participation

There was no public participation.

46/22).    To approve the minutes of the Planning Committee held on 2nd March 2022:

The minutes, which had been previously circulated, were agreed and signed.

47/22).     Planning Decisions of Stafford Borough Council:

21/34591/HOU  Erection of garden shed, incorporating a small green house. 49 High Street Eccleshall Stafford Staffordshire ST21 6BW. Approved.

48/22)     Planning Applications for consideration:-

Cllr.  P. Jones abstained from voting on planning applications to avoid any conflict of interests as a current member of the Borough Council planning committee.

21/35182/FUL – Proposed extension of car storage area (re-submission of 16/25371/FUL). GRS Vehicle Logistics Centre Cold Meece Road Cold Meece. It was resolved to object to this application on the grounds of the environmental impact resulting from the proposed removal of a large part of woodland area. The proposed volume and type of replanting will not balance out the carbon debt incurred.

49/22).    To consider any further applications:-

21/35316/HOU – Proposed single storey side and rear extensions to existing 2 storey detached dwelling. Holly Barn Hilcote Lane Sturbridge. It was resolved to object to this application due to the scale and mass of the proposal. The chair was unsure if this fell within the 70% rule for extensions due to the height of the proposals.

50/22).    Any Other Planning Matters: –

The Clerk reported that there had been no planning applications submitted in relation to business and associated advertising that has appeared at a property on the A519 and the Borough Council enforcement team would be looking into the issue.

Wednesday April 6th 2022, at Eccleshall Community Centre at 7.30pm, pending any changes to current government advice.

There being no further business, the Chairman declared the meeting closed at 9.05pm.
