A meeting of Eccleshall Parish Council Planning Committee was held on May 4th 2022, at Eccleshall Community Centre at 7.35pm following a meeting of the Footpaths committee.

77/22).    To approve the minutes of the Planning Committee held on 20^th April 2022:

The minutes, which had been previously circulated, were agreed and signed.

78/22).    Planning Decisions of Stafford Borough Council:

22/35748/TCA –  Eccleshall Conservation Area: Yew – Remove as tree is dying. The Grey House 76 High Street Eccleshall. CA Approved.

22/35700/TCA – Eccleshall Conservation Area: Rowan – Fell. The Old Vicarage

Church Street Eccleshall. CA Approved.

21/35010/HOU – Ground floor garden room extension. The Dale Wootton Lane Eccleshall. Approved.

21/34378/FUL – Proposed agricultural building. Land Off The A519 Slindon Road Slindon. Approved.

79/22)     Planning Applications for consideration:-

Cllr.  P. Jones abstained from voting on planning applications to avoid any conflict of interests as a current member of the Borough Council planning committee.

21/35238/HOU – Amended Application. Fronsac, Yates Yard Eccleshall. There were no objections to this application.

22/35548/HOU – Single storey side and rear extension. Proposed open porch to front. 33 The Crescent Eccleshall. There were no objections to this application.

22/35485/HOU – single storey rear extension and a front elevation facelift to unify the building from all of the previous uncomplimentary extensions. The proposal aims to create a modern family home with open plan living. Low Rising 2 Newport Road Eccleshall. There were no objections to this application.

21/35267/FUL – Change of use to form additional car parking areas. GRS Vehicle Logistics Centre Cold Meece Road Cold Meece Stone. There were no objections to this application but the Council wishes to make the following comments/requests:

• The Council notes the positive response to the original concerns and that the redesign is more sympathetic to the surrounding natural area.
• It is requested that there is an inspection of the trees and hedges 12 months after planting to ensure adherence to the planning design, the planting is of the outlined specification and is thriving.

There were no further applications to consider.

81/22).    Any Other Planning Matters: –

• To consider the current status and potential impact of the revised Local Plan on the EPC Neighbourhood Plan and any actions arising. The Clerk was asked to contact Stafford Borough Council to find out the anticipated timeline for issue of the draft Local Plan. Members requested that the Neighbourhood plan become a regular agenda item so that there is the opportunity to keep abreast of any developments. Once there is more information regarding the draft Local Plan, consideration could be given to the formation of a working group to ensure proactive engagement with any proposals.

Authorisation was sought for payment of the following accounts:-

     All were in favour and the cheques were signed.

84/22)     Date and venue for next meeting:

May 18^th, 2022, Eccleshall Community Centre, after the annual meeting of the Parish Council.

There being no further business, the Chairman declared the meeting closed at 8.10 pm.
