May 18th 2022
A meeting of Eccleshall Parish Council Planning Committee was held on May 18th 2022, at Eccleshall Community Centre at 8.50pm following the Annual Parish Council meeting.

86/22). To elect a Chair and Vice-Chair
Councillor P. Jones took the Chair and requested nominations for Chairman of the Planning
Committee. Councillor Delanchy was re-elected for the ensuing year.
Councillor Delanchy requested nominations for Vice-Chairman of the Committee and Councillor Joy Jones was nominated and duly re-elected.

21/35238/HOU – Erection of timber conservatory to rear elevation. Fronsac Yates Yard Eccleshall. Approved.
21/35126/FUL – Proposed planning application for a slurry lagoon, measuring 25m x 25m with a depth of 3.5m and 1m freeboard. Slindon House Farm And Guest House Slindon Road Slindon. Approved.
21/34287/HOU/ 21/34288/LBC – New log burner and flue to existing building & new outbuilding.
Oak Tree Views Newcastle Road Eccleshall. Refused.
22/35684/HOU – Erection of replacement timber post and rail fence (retrospective). Byanna Farm Swynnerton Road Sturbridge. Approved.
21/35333/HOU – Rear Extension and minor internal works. (in conjunction with 21/35334/LBC). 9 Church Street Eccleshall. Approved.
22/35462/FUL – Works to include additional operational floor space at ground floor level; roof and other exterior alterations; single storey rear extension; and the creation of 6no bedroom accommodation. at first floor level. In conjunction with 21/35394/LBC. Baden Hall, The Clubhouse Swynnerton Road Sturbridge. Approved.
91/22) Planning Applications for consideration:-
Cllr. P. Jones abstained from voting on planning applications to avoid any conflict of interests as a current member of the Borough Council planning committee.

21/35240/COU – Resubmission of App. Ref. 20/33455/COU – Retrospective change of use of agricultural land to residential use. 16 The Woodlands Cold Meece Stone. It was resolved to continue to object in line with the committees original comment, that the application would extend the residential curtilage into the countryside outside the current design boundary of the plots.
It was agreed to also draw attention to the neighbour response stating that the land is not all within the ownership of the applicant, Cold Meece is not part of the neighbourhood plan and as such no development should take place.

93/22). Any Other Planning Matters: –
The Clerk had contacted the Borough Council who confirmed the Local Plan preparation was proceeding in accordance with the timeline published on its website (https://www.staffordbc.gov.uk/local-development-scheme) with the Preferred Options report due June/July 2022. This report will follow the same process of consultation as the previous Issues and Options report. This estimated publication of the proposed plan is July-September 2023. It was noted that any the process for any amendments to the existing Neighbourhood Plan would be determined by the level of changes required.
