ECCLESHALL PARISH COUNCIL – PLANNING COMMITTEE MINUTES – October 19th 2022

A meeting of Eccleshall Parish Council Planning Committee was held on October 19th 2022, at Eccleshall Community Centre at 9.15pm following the Parish Council meeting.

153/22).  To approve the minutes of the Planning Committee held on 28th September 2022:

The minutes, which had been previously circulated, were agreed and signed.

154/22).   Planning Decisions of Stafford Borough Council:

22/35701/HOU – proposed demolition of existing outbuilding and new single storey side extension. 8 Small Lane Eccleshall. Approved.

21/35027/FUL – Conversion of existing barn into one bedroomed dwelling. Yew Tree Farm House Barn Wootton Lane Eccleshall. Approved.

155/22)    Planning Applications for consideration:-

Cllr.  P. Jones abstained from voting on planning applications to avoid any conflict of interests as a current member of the Borough Council planning committee.

 

22/36438/HOU –  Form 2 storey extension to side, bay window to front and chimney to side. New House 62A Stone Road Eccleshall Stafford Staffordshire ST21 6DL. There were no objections to this application.

22/36454/FUL – Proposed change of use of agricultural building into residential dwelling with two-storey side extension. View Farm Main Road Croxton. It was resolved to object to this application in line with policy C4 of the Local Plan, that the proposed extension is not in keeping with the property and its setting.

156/22).   To consider any further applications:-

There were no further applications to consider.

157/22).   Any Other Planning Matters: –

Members discussed the upcoming Stafford Borough Council Preferred Options consultation which will run from 24th October until the 12th December. In order to consider the consultation and the response in detail it was resolved to form a working group that will consist of the following members; Cllrs. Delanchy, Hill, Langford, Leather, Mifflin, Perren, Reid and Ryan-Bloor. The Clerk will support the group as required.  It was agreed that the working group is able to co-opt members from local stakeholders including Parish Councils. It was noted that the consultation response will need to be considered and approved by the 7th December planning meeting to meet the deadline. The Clerk has asked for printed copies of the Meecebrook documentation.

The Borough Council drop in exhibition for the Local Plan at Eccleshall is planned for Thursday 10th November between 4 and 8pm at the Community Centre.
