NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a meeting of Eccleshall Parish Council Planning Committee will be held on Wednesday July 6th, 2022 at 7.30pm, at Eccleshall Community Centre, following a meeting of the Traffic Management Committee.

22/35728/REM – Approval of the following matters reserved at outline consent on application 19/31613/OUT : layout, scale, appearance and landscaping. Land East Of Castle Street Eccleshall

21/35316/HOU– Amended application. Holly Barn Hilcote Lane Sturbridge.

  • To receive any updates on the SBC Local Plan update and items relating to the current Neighbourhood Plan.

ECCLESHALL PARISH COUNCIL – PLANNING COMMITTEE MINUTES – July 6th 2022

A meeting of Eccleshall Parish Council Planning Committee was held on July 6th, 2022, at Eccleshall Community Centre at 7.40 pm following a meeting of the Traffic Management Committee.

Apologies were received from Councillors Libby Dale and Kean.

98/22).    Public Participation

There was no public participation.

99/22).    To approve the minutes of the Planning Committee held on 22 June 2022:

The minutes, which had been previously circulated, were agreed and signed.

100/22).   Planning Decisions of Stafford Borough Council:

 21/34376/FUL –  Units 2 And 3 Cold Meece Estate Cold Meece Road, Cold Meece Stone ST15 OUD  . Approved.

101/22)    Planning Applications for consideration:-

Cllr.  P. Jones abstained from voting on planning applications to avoid any conflict of interests  as a current member of the Borough Council planning committee.

22/35728/REM – Approval of the following matters reserved at outline consent on application   19/31613/OUT : layout, scale, appearance and landscaping. Land East Of Castle Street Eccleshall.  There were no objections to this application.

However, additional points to be included in the response are:

  • There is no longer a mention of a pedestrian link between the proposed estate and Cherry Tree Close. This was a popular idea at the time and Eccleshall Parish Council would like this to be explored again.
  • The Council would like to ask the developer to install an EV charging point to each property to meet new regulations, and also to provide amenity use of EV charge points on the proposed estate.

21/35316/HOU – Amended application. Holly Barn Hilcote Lane Sturbridge. Eccleshall Parish   Council continues to object to the application due to the scale and mass of the proposal.

Wednesday 20 July 2022, at Broughton Parish Rooms after the meeting of the Parish   Council.

The Committee thanked the Deputy Clerk, Beverley Partridge for her work for the Parish Council as she would shortly be leaving the Council.

There being no further business, the Chairman declared the meeting closed at 8.18 pm.
