A meeting of Eccleshall Parish Council Planning Committee was held on February 1st, 2023, at Eccleshall Community Centre at 7.30pm

Apologies were received from Councillors J. Jones, Ryan-Bloor, Leather and Kean.
24/23). Public Participation
There was no public participation.
25/23). To approve the minutes of the Planning Committee held on 18th January 2023:
The minutes, which had been previously circulated, were agreed and signed.
26/23). Planning Decisions of Stafford Borough Council:
22/36749/LDCPP- Conversion and increase in height of existing garage into habitable space / living accommodation. 17 Badgers Croft Eccleshall. Permitted Development.
22/36378/FUL- 10MW Battery Storage Facility. Aspley House Farm Aspley Lane Slindon. Approved.
22/36235/HOU – Single storey rear extension. The Bungalow Meadow Lane Mill Meece. Approved.
22/35902/HOU – Proposed side extension and minor alterations to existing fenestration. 27 Green Lane Eccleshall. Approved.
27/23) Planning Applications for consideration:-
Cllr. P. Jones abstained from voting on planning applications to avoid any conflict of interests as a current member of the Borough Council planning committee.
21/33821/FUL – Amended application in relation to: Demolition of existing workshop and erection of 10 no. dwellings with associated parking and access. Workshop, Castle Street, Eccleshall, Stafford, Staffordshire, ST21 6DF.
It was resolved to continue to object to this application. Whilst additional information has been supplied, the Council continues to object in the absence of professional consultee reports in relation to drainage, conservation and design. It is also noted that the desired visibility splays cannot be achieved.

30/23). Correspondence:-
- Correspondence has been received in relation to unauthorised development at Walton Bank. The owner is in the process of applying for retrospective permission but nearby residents have a number of objections to the additional buildings. The concerns were noted and will be considered when the application is submitted and brought to the council for its comments. The was queried whether the area of land is/should be designated as industrial land to support what is in place.
- The Clerk advised of the response to the letter of complaint to the County Council regarding the poor quality of pre-patching work undertaken along High Street in December. It has been agreed that there are failures with the work undertaken and the site will be reworked at the contractors expense once a permit to rebook the site has been approved.
A query was raised about another property which appears to recently had a menage installed and whether permission had been obtained. Cllr. Hill would look into whether planning permission is recorded on the planning portal.
