A meeting of Eccleshall Parish Council Planning Committee was held on February 15th 2023, at Eccleshall Community Centre at 8.30pm following the Parish Council meeting.

The minutes, which had been previously circulated, were agreed and signed.
37/23). Planning Decisions of Stafford Borough Council:
22/35639/HOU- Erection of a single storey side extension and conversion and extension to the existing garage to form ancillary living accommodation. Badenhall Lodge Swynnerton Road Sturbridge. Refused.
22/35965/FUL – Proposed extension to milling house. Carrs Billington Agriculture Ltd. Cold Meece Road Cold Meece. Approved.
21/35236/FUL – Timber veranda extension. The Scout Headquarters Chester Road
Eccleshall. Approved.
22/36438/HOU – Erection of two-storey/first floor side/rear extension, porch, front elevation bay window and side elevation chimney stack. New House 62A Stone Road Eccleshall. Approved.
38/23) Planning Applications for consideration:-
Cllr. P. Jones abstained from voting on planning applications to avoid any conflict of interests as a current member of the Borough Council planning committee.

It was resolved to continue to object to this application on the same grounds as previously, regarding the excessive scale and mass of the proposed dwellings with respect to the adjacent properties.

40/23). Any Other Planning Matters: –
- Members queried if any feedback had been received in relation to the SBC Local Plan consultation and were advised there has been no updates.
41/23). Correspondence:-
- Correspondence was received in relation to application 22/36546/HOU and 22/36548/LBC, Newcastle Road. The applicant expressed concerns that pictures illustrating the actual state of the original heritage asset has been removed and detailed the reason for the application for the outbuilding. The Council has already responded to object to the application in January, in line with clear disagreement expressed by planning and heritage department experts. It was resolved to respond to note that although the Council are consultees in its own right, it was felt appropriate to respond in line with views expressed by the specialist authorities. It was advised that if the applicants consult with the Borough Planning department and submit an amended application, this will be re-considered by the Parish Council on its own merits.
