There were no further applications for consideration.
172/24). Any Other Planning Matters: –
There were no other planning matters
173/24). Correspondence:-
- Members considered the response from Stafford Borough Council Enforcement in relation to hardstanding and timber buildings on land in Croxton and any actions arising. It was felt that the buildings were not of concern and no further action was required.
- Members considered correspondence from Yarnfield and Cold Meece Parish Council, to request a meeting with local MPs in order to share concerns about the Meecebrook proposal and understand how the governments ambition to increase the supply of new housing stock will affect local areas. Members were strongly in favour of being involved, and the Clerk and Cllr. Perren will represent the council. If a date was agreed when Cllr. Perren was not available, Cllr Langford will attend. Cllr. Reid expressed an interest in attending in his role as Borough Councillor. Cllr. Reid noted that the new proposals to increase housing stock are double the previous requirements accommodated within the previous draft plan and are due to kick in from April 2025. This will have a significant impact on the local plan currently being revised. The targets have been set to address a lack of building in previous years.
- Wilkins has been contacted by a resident concerned about overhanging trees located on a track to the rear of properties on The Burgage. Severn Trent use it as an access but are not aware of who owns the track. As also in use by current developers, it was suggested the resident contact them to see if they own the track and can help with the trees.
