NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a meeting of Eccleshall Parish Council Planning Committee will be held on Wednesday August 12th, 2020 at 7.30pm, via Zoom online meeting. This will be preceded by a meeting of the Traffic Management Committee at 6.45pm.

85/20). Any Other Planning Matters:-
Cllr. P. Jones had a meeting with SBC planning officers and management to discuss the Parish Council concerns regarding a lack of consideration planning feedback from EPC in planning decision making. SBC stressed they wish EPC to continue to submit its comments and they are considered in the process but officers do consider mitigating conditions as part of the process. It was agreed that any decision raising strong concerns could be taken back by Cllr. P. Jones and the reasons for the decision will be discussed.
86/20). New & Proposed Developments:-
There were no new developments to discuss.
87/20). Correspondence:–
- Resident concerns about the omission of Slindon in the interim report ‘Sustainability Appraisal (SA) of the New Stafford Borough Local Plan 2020-2040’ prepared for SBC by AECOM. SBC has confirmed that the sustainability report was prepared using the initial Issues and Options consultation document and has not yet reviewed the consultation responses which includes the feedback to include Slindon as a settlement area.
- Resident concerns regarding the maintenance of Taylor Wimpey development and adherence to conditions of the planning approval. There were numerous minor issues which together showed a lack of maintenance by the grounds maintenance company. It was resolved to write to Taylor Wimpey as follows:
- To reinforce the issues raised by the resident and to ask for action to maintain the areas in question
- To ask about the partially completed pedestrian area along Shaws Lane, to the front of the public open space – why is it there, why has it not been completed and it is shown on the approved drawings?
- The expected completion date for the roads within the settlement, which was originally estimated at October 2019.

The Clerk agreed to circulate the relevant minuted approvals for the itemised works at Elford Heath, for information.
Cllr. P. Jones shared the sad news regarding Mrs. Eunice Thorndyke, who passed away on Saturday 8th August, following the death of her husband earlier in the year. The Council wished to express their condolences and a card will be sent to relatives.
Croxton residents wished to express their thanks for the recent works to side out the pavement adjacent to the play area and the cutting of the verge by Croxton well.
